This has been heard by many people, both from players and audiences. We are the first to agree with this. We in the functionary group and you who are a judge or lineman know that it is a difficult job. No one who has not been inside an ice hockey arena with two charged teams and an interested, knowledgeable and expectant audience has experienced the tingling feeling that every referee and lineman ever felt just before the first drop.\n\nIt can be a series match between boys&#8217; teams with strong supporters in the form of parents on an outdoor track with minus 10-15 degrees on an early Sunday morning or a World Cup final between the &#8221;big&#8221; broadcasts over the world&#8217;s TV stations with a multimillion audience.\n\nThe referee is the person who has the most important tasks during the thrillingly effective 30 or 60 minutes. Most importantly to the extent that every little mistake &#8211; which will always be made &#8211; is felt so well and can be so fatal, while a player who misses an open goal gets the audience&#8217;s pity.\n\nThe referee job is especially difficult in ice hockey and is considered in all sports as among the most difficult and this with all right. This means that you as an ice hockey referee have everyone&#8217;s eyes fixed on you.\n\nOver the years, Swedish ice hockey has contributed with esteemed names that have won great trust as referees in international contexts.
