At Ishockeygymnasiet in Timrå, you have the opportunity to make a serious elite commitment to your ice hockey in combination with your high school studies. Ishockeygymnasiet for boys is an NIU high school, which means that the education is certified by the Swedish National Agency for Education and the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.
Timrå Gymnasium, together with Timrå IK and Kovlands IshF, is establishing a new local hockey high school. This will give more young people the opportunity to continue playing hockey in the local area while combining it with their high school studies. At the Ice Hockey High School in Timrå, you have the opportunity to focus on your ice hockey in combination with your high school studies. The Ice Hockey High School for girls is a LIU high school, which is a local variant.
If you do not live in Timrå municipality, we will arrange accommodation within walking distance of NHK Arena and Timrå Gymnasium. This is done through our partner Timråbo, which offers a discount on rent to hockey high school students.
Application for those who want to combine their high school studies with floorball (for both boys and girls) or local sports training in ice hockey for girls in collaboration with Timrå IK and local sports training in ice hockey for boys in collaboration with Kovlands IF. To be eligible for a place, you must be accepted into a national program at Timrå Gymnasium. If there are more applicants than places, merit from elementary school will be used as a selection criterion.
