The aim of the programme is to develop the players and make it easier for young people to combine training with their studies at upper secondary school level. This involves individually tailored training twice a week, as well as studying Sports Science at school. In the evenings, players are part of HC Dalen’s junior programme, which includes a U18 team in Division 1 that always aims to be a top-flight side, whilst the U20 team’s objective is to return to the U20 Regional league. During the season, training with the teams consists of 3–4 ice sessions plus fitness training. Regarding Admission: You will study 200 credits over two years in ”Sport and Health 1, 2 – Sport Specialisation”. You must apply to LIU Ice Hockey using the form by 1 March at the latest. You must also apply to Sandagymnasiet and for the programme you wish to study via your school counsellor at the school you currently attend. We will contact everyone who has applied for the Local Sports Education programme and confirm whether you have been offered a place by 15 March at the latest.

Sanda Sports Centre offers specialised sports training during school hours as part of your upper secondary education. Our mission is to provide you with an environment where you can combine your upper secondary studies with your sporting activities at all levels. Our training times are well suited to the rest of your school day. In the LIU programme, you’ll take two ‘Sport and Health’ specialisation courses over two years (as individual choices). You can find out which sports are offered as part of the local sports programme under the respective sport.
