The activities at the Gothenburg Ice Hockey Academy are part of the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation’s player development program, whose goal is to develop future elite players. Henrik Lundqvist is one of many successful students. Frölunda Hockey Club has a clear purpose and a clear goal for the Ice Hockey Academy: Goal-oriented players, with good coaching and the best possible training conditions, should be able to develop into elite-level players. These young people should also succeed in their studies with good results.

Today, hockey talent from all over Sweden are heading to the hockey high school in Gothenburg. Living, studying and training away from home is no easy combination. It means that most of the students will have to fend for themselves for the first time. Willpower, ambition and self-discipline are required if you want to achieve good results both in school and in hockey. The time at the high school develops the active person as a human being both mentally and socially. By December 1st, submit your application to study at the hockey high school by submitting an application form to the Swedish Ice Hockey Federation. In December, an assessment, evaluation and ranking of the applicants will be carried out. This is done by Frölunda HC.
