How does the process work at Linnaeus University?

1. Application

Basic level (bachelor's degree/program): Apply via antagning.se during the spring admission period (usually March–April).

Advanced level (master's): Apply via universityadmissions.se starting in the fall, deadline in mid-January

2. Eligibility & selection

General eligibility: High school diploma or equivalent. International students are required to take an English language test.

Special eligibility: Applies to specific programs – such as mathematics, technology, or TISUS for Swedish studies.

Selection groups for basic level: High school grades, college entrance exam results, or selection based on specific tests.

Selection for master's programs: Overall assessment of previous education, language skills, and sometimes CV/motivation letter.

3. Important dates

Basic level: Applications open in March, selection results are often announced in May, with reserve places following thereafter.
Master's programs: Applications September–January, decisions usually in April.

4. After receiving your admission notification

Accept the offer through the admissions portal.
