At Ishockeygymnasiet in Timrå, you have the opportunity to make a serious elite commitment to your ice hockey in combination with your high school studies. Ishockeygymnasiet for boys is an NIU high school, which means that the education is certified by the Swedish National Agency for Education and the Swedish Ice Hockey Association.

Timrå Gymnasium, together with Timrå IK and Kovlands IshF, is establishing a new local hockey high school. This will give more young people the opportunity to continue playing hockey in the local area while combining it with their high school studies. At the Ice Hockey High School in Timrå, you have the opportunity to focus on your ice hockey in combination with your high school studies. The ice hockey high school for girls is an LIU high school, which means it's a local variant.

If you don't live in Timrå municipality, we'll arrange accommodation within walking distance of NHK Arena and Timrå Gymnasium. This is done through our partner Timråbo, which gives hockey high school students a discount on rent.

At Elitishockeygymnasiet in Timrå, you have the opportunity to make a serious commitment to ice hockey in combination with your high school studies. Elitishockeygymnasiet is classified as an elite school with a cooperation agreement between the Swedish Ice Hockey Association, the Swedish National Agency for Education, Timrå Gymnasium, and Timrå IK. We accept between 10 and 15 students per academic year, and the deciding factor is how we believe you will develop as an ice hockey player. Of course, you must also be accepted into a program at Timrå Gymnasium.

Applying to Timrå Elite Sports High School is a two-step process. First, during the fall, you must apply for a sport through the respective sports federation and be accepted. Second, you must apply for a high school program (during the period January-February or during the re-election period April-May). Please note! You must be accepted into a sport for your application to a program at Elitidrottsgymnasium to be valid.
