Karlskrona HK, in collaboration with Karlskrona Municipality, offers players the opportunity to combine their high school studies with ice hockey. Last year, several juniors had the chance to experience the A team, and we want to invest in the junior side so that we can develop more of our own players for the A team in the future. Our J20 team plays in J20 Regional South and our J18 team plays in J18ELIT. As of players born in 2001, we are one of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association's certified elite hockey high schools, known as NIU (Nationally Approved Sports Education, read the brochure about NIU Karlskrona). We see it as a strength to be able to offer you any of the programs in the list here linked to your ice hockey studies.
When it comes to hockey training, the focus is on individual development, and we hope that you as a player will take a big step forward during your three years with us. But of course, we also require that you place great importance on your schoolwork in order to succeed in your professional life. We conduct ice hockey training/physical training three mornings a week and theory one afternoon. Here we go through topics such as nutrition, training theory, injuries, and hockey theory. All coaches involved have at least J18/J20 Elite training. You can apply on the Swedish Ice Hockey Association's website.

Applying to Karlskrona Elite Sports High School is a two-step process. First, during the fall, you must apply for a sport through the respective sports federation and be accepted. Second, you must apply for a high school program (during the period January-February or during the re-election period April-May). Please note! You must be accepted into a sport for your application to a program at the Elite Sports High School to be valid.

Applications are submitted online between September 1 and December 1. Application documents and other information can be found at: Application & Admission
