The Elite Ice Hockey Sixth Form promises you three challenging but enjoyable years. Here, you can combine your upper secondary studies with your greatest passion in a meaningful way. The aim of the programme is to make it easier for young people to combine ice hockey training with upper secondary education. Through academic study and focused training, pupils are given the opportunity to develop their sporting skills so that their individual ability to play the game improves. The programme aims to provide a solid foundation for a potential future elite career.

Applications to the NIU Ice Hockey Sixth Form College are made via the Swedish Ice Hockey Association’s website between 12 September and 1 December. There is no ranking of the sixth form colleges; instead, pupils select four schools in no particular order.

Applications to Linköping Elite Sports Upper Secondary School are made in two stages. Firstly, during the autumn, you must apply for a sport via the relevant national sports federation and be accepted; secondly, you must apply for an upper secondary programme (during the period January–February or during the re-application period April–May). Please note: You must have been accepted onto a sport for your application to a programme at the Elite Sports Upper Secondary School to be valid.
