NIU: Combine your studies with ice hockey at the highest national level. As a certified NIU secondary school, we at BIK Karlskoga run one of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association’s official elite ice hockey secondary schools. Over the years, the club’s ice hockey secondary school has nurtured many players who have gone on to play senior ice hockey at a high level.

We hold regular try-outs from the end of September right up until the end of the season on 1 December. During our try-outs, we organise on-ice training sessions, player interviews and information sessions for parents about our activities. Last season, we had nearly a hundred players attend our try-outs, and this season we’re again aiming to give lots of players the chance to show what they can do with us and see what we have to offer YOU in particular.

Applications to Linköping Elite Sports Upper Secondary School are made in two stages. Firstly, during the autumn, you must apply for a sport via the relevant national sports federation and be accepted; secondly, you must apply for an upper secondary programme (during the period January–February or during the re-application period April–May). Please note: You must have been accepted onto a sport for your application to a programme at the Elite Sports Upper Secondary School to be valid.
