The Hockey Upper Secondary School in Borås is aimed at those of you who are passionate about your sport, who are among the best in your region for your age group, and who have elite ambitions. You must have a strong determination and the ambition to manage both your upper secondary studies and elite-level ice hockey at the same time. Through this programme, we aim to develop future elite players and/or coaches. That is why Borås Hockey, in collaboration with the school, has developed a programme that provides you with the opportunities and conditions necessary to succeed in both your studies and ice hockey. It is important to us that, upon completing your upper secondary education, you are well prepared for the future, both in terms of sport and education.

If you’re interested in practising your sport as part of the individual choice programme in upper secondary school, Local Sports Education (LIU) might be for you. You apply to LIU/LIP as early as Year 9. This is done as part of the same application you submit to the upper secondary school. If there are a large number of applicants, places will be allocated by lottery. For pupils on the LIU/LIP programme, the ‘individual choice’ programme begins in Year 1 and continues throughout all three years.
