The activities at Gothenburg Ice Hockey High School are part of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association's player development program, which aims to develop future elite players. Henrik Lundqvist is one of many successful students. Frölunda Hockey Club has a clearly stated purpose and goal for the ice hockey high school: with good coaching and the best possible training conditions, determined players should be able to develop into elite-level players. These young people should also be able to complete their studies with good results.
Today, ice hockey talents from all over Sweden are applying to the ice hockey high school in Gothenburg. Living, studying, and training away from home is no easy combination. It means that most of the students have to fend for themselves for the first time. It takes determination, ambition, and self-discipline if you want to achieve good results in both school and ice hockey. Time at high school develops active individuals both mentally and socially. Register your interest in studying at the ice hockey high school by sending an application form to the Swedish Ice Hockey Association by December 1 at the latest. In December, the applicants will be assessed, evaluated, and ranked. This will be carried out by Frölunda HC.

Applying to Gothenburg Elite Sports High School is a two-step process. First, during the fall, you must apply for a sport through the respective sports federation and be accepted. Second, you must apply for a high school program (during the period January-February or during the re-election period April-May). Please note! You must be accepted into a sport for your application to a program at the Elite Sports High School to be valid.

Applications are submitted online between September 1 and December 1. Application documents and other information can be found at: Application & Admission
