LIU Ice Hockey is aimed at girls and boys in Örebro County who play ice hockey in their spare time. At LIU, you will take the courses Competitive Sports 1 and Competitive Sports 2, totaling 200 credits, which means two sessions per week during grades 1 and 2. In grade 3, you will have the opportunity to continue training in your LIU sport or choose to take another sports specialization course together with other athletes.
We place great emphasis on individual development, both in terms of ice hockey and physical fitness. This gives you a comprehensive sports education that will benefit you both on and off the ice!
With us, you get access to the following:
- Training on the schedule
- Attend classes with other sports students
- A student health team adapted to sports
- Teachers who understand your interest in sports
If you are interested in combining ice hockey with your high school studies, then Local Sports Education (LIU) at Idrottsgymnasiet Örebro is for you. You apply to LIU in grade 9. This is done in the same application that you use to apply to high school. You need to be an active ice hockey player and a member of a club.
The Örebro County Upper Secondary School Admissions Office handles admissions to Year 1, and you can apply for our four upper secondary programs on their website.
At orebro.se/gymnasieantagningen, you can find information on how to apply. There is also information about important dates for when you:
