The Ice Hockey High School is offered through a collaboration between Malmö Redhawks and Malmö Sports High School, which is a certified National Sports Education (NIU) program by both the Swedish Ice Hockey Association and the Swedish National Agency for Education. The Ice Hockey High School is part of the Swedish Ice Hockey Association's player development program, where the goal is to develop future elite players. We want to nurture young people with good values who will graduate from high school with good results and be qualified to continue their education and professional lives even outside the world of ice hockey. In the fall of 2018, Malmö Redhawks will launch the next step in its long-term investment in girls' and women's hockey. Malmö Redhawks is now starting a hockey high school so that girls can combine their studies with high-level hockey in Malmö. The hockey high school is being started in collaboration with Fria Läroverken.

The application period is from mid-September to December 1. Each student has four choices of hockey high schools. You can change and reapply until December 1, after which date the choices are locked in.

Applying to Malmö Elite Sports High School is a two-step process. First, you must apply for a sport through the respective sports federation during the fall and be accepted. Second, you must apply for a high school program (during the period January-February or during the re-election period April-May). Please note! You must be accepted into a sport for your application to a program at Elitidrottsgymnasium to be valid.
